Orthodontic Graduation

Thank you!

Thank you once again for entrusting us with your orthodontic care. We are pleased that together we have achieved such gratifying results. Now that two years have passed since the completion of braces, we congratulate you on becoming an orthodontic graduate.

Do I still need to wear my retainers?

For the best long-term results, we recommend wearing retainers on a nightly basis for as long as possible. Always make sure they still fit. You will find that by wearing retainers on an indefinite basis, you will have better alignment of your teeth, a healthier bite, and a beautiful smile for many years to come. The longer the retainers fit properly, the better the long-term stability.

Do I need to visit the office?

Congratulations, you have graduated from regular retainer check visits and you no longer need to schedule any further appointments. Please call if your retainers do not fit, have been lost or broken, or with any other concerns. For retainers that need to be replaced, there will be a replacement charge per retainer.

What about the wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth have the potential to cause problems. If we have recommended a consultation with an oral surgeon, please make that appointment as soon as possible.

Otherwise, your family dentist will monitor the progress of your wisdom teeth and recommend a consultation at the appropriate time. You are also free to contact an oral surgeon directly at any time your wisdom teeth become a concern.

If we have taken any recent X-rays, copies have been sent to your family dentist and oral surgeon, if recommended.

Orthodontic Guarantee

If you do not wear your retainers, your teeth will not stay straight! Continued wear of retainers is essential and something only you can do for yourself and your future dental health and appearance.

Congratulations!

You have reached the goal of a healthy bite and a beautiful smile. Once again, thank you for being a part of our team. We wish you well, and keep smiling!
