Dr. Mark Schwitz grew up on Long Island, New York, where his father, Dr. Sydney Schwitz, practiced orthodontics. Dr. Schwitz attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in three years with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. In 1979, Dr. Schwitz graduated from New York University College of Dentistry, with a D.D.S. degree. By completing two additional years of advanced education at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dentistry, Dr. Schwitz completed the requirements established by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association to become certified as a Specialist in Orthodontics.

 

Dr. Schwitz is a member of several national, state, and local professional organizations, including the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. He received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oral-facial Complex.

Dr. Schwitz continues to attend numerous orthodontic education programs including advanced seminars each year to keep him in the forefront of orthodontics. Dr. Schwitz was invited to make a presentation at the Greater New York Dental Meeting entitled "How to Create Extraordinary Teamwork in Your Office".

Dr. Schwitz lives in Manalapan with his wife, Lynne, and sons, Scott and Corey. He is an active member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Dr. Schwitz has been in the private practice of orthodontics in Marlboro and Howell since 1985.
